WoW's 1st Year in Review| Part 4, Sharing, Giving Back, and Celebrating

Posted By Victoria WoW February 13th, 2014

Throughout our events, on our website, and through social media, WoW Members shared their creativity, ideas and expertise with one another. We were incredibly generous with our giveaways and prize baskets, and with our willingness to refer one another to our clients.

It is always a great feeling when you can refer to and when you are referred by colleagues.  It is a sense of collaboration to make a memorable event for the client, but also a relief that you have a network that you can trust.

We immediately received a referral from Sharon for one of her brides! [Showcasing at events] definitely has had an impact on our business as we continue to receive referrals. It allowed fellow WoW members to see what we offer so they can share the information with their brides.

Contributing generously to the community in which we live has been a focus throughout the year. We have supported the Sandy Merriman House, the Victoria Women's Transition House, and drew attention to Victoria Hospice's Bid for Bliss event, in which weddings dresses were put on auction to raise money.

And last but not least...

The best thing about being a member of WoW is the new connections we have made. Personal connections with many of the members. We get to see many WoWies around the Island and at events and to me that is the best part of it all. Hugs are shared. Praise for success is shared. I look forward to more of this in the future.

We toasted to one another's growing success. We expressed our joy for our amazing industry that allows us to make dreams come true. We partied like is was 1999.

I love getting to know everyone and even the people that do the same job as me. It is fun to talk to someone who knows exactly what you do so that you can exchange ideas, fun stories and a lot of laughs!

In addition to sharing, giving back, and celebrating, WoW also prioritized NETWORKING and LEARNING.
